OSEA2008 Asia's largest and most established oil & gas industry event has once again proved itself to be the leading marketplace for the region.

Spread over four days, the exhibition, with the accompanying OSEA2008 International Conference and a host of social events, was abuzz with business partnerships and opportunities being explored and exploited.

OSEA would like to extend our thanks to the 1,314 exhibiting companies and 20,542 trade attendees who had helped to make this an unequivocal success!

 
 

The Opening Ceremony was well attended by over 300 VIPs including Ambassadors, trade commissioners and key buyers from the industry.

The Guest-of-Honor Mr. S Iswaran, Senior Minister of State for Trade and Industry granting an interview to the media after the opening ceremony. OSEA2008 hosted 43 general and trade media from 7 countries, providing an extensive media coverage.

     
 

Elaborate setups, extensive showcase and enticing marketing tools used by exhibitors such as the Philippines National Oil Company (PNOC) gave the exhibition an added buzz.

Nothing beats the personal touch and seeing the products physically. OSEA2008 brings to Asia, the best of 7 National Group Pavilions including Australia, China, Germany, Italy, Norway, UK and USA.

 
 

OSEA2008 International Conference

The OSEA2008 International Conference held from 2 - 5 December 2008 was a success with over 200 speakers and delegates from 27 countries in attendance. Delegates were able to learn from leaders of the oil & gas industry in 3 conference tracks - Exploration, Production, Gas Technology and Recovery.

 
 

Experts shared the latest in oil prices, trends, predictions, technologies and tools during the 4 day conferences.

Ideas were further discussed as Conference Delegates and Speakers took the opportunity to network among themselves at tea breaks during the conference.

 
 

Networking Opportunities

Ice cold beer, tasteful wine and the buffet of good food were in no way lacking at the numerous social events of OSEA2008. Numerous lounges were also created for exhibitors and visitors alike, proving for once the value added proposition when business and pleasure were successfully mixed.

 
 

Held at the lush greens of Tanah Merah Country Club, 143 VIP Buyers and Exhibitors enjoyed a round of golf and a sumptuous dinner reception that follows.

Durty Nellys Irish Pub was packed with merry Exhibitors, VIP Buyers and Delegates at the OSEA2008 Industry Networking Night sponsored by Fluor Offshore Solutions.

     
 

Jointly organized by ASMI, IE Singapore and OSEA2008, the Singapore Offshore & Marine Industry Networking High Tea was a fruitful meeting between Local Sellers and Overseas Buyers.

Besides the receptions hosted by various embassies from the national group pavilions, OSEA2008 also hosted a Directors Luncheon attended by government representatives and renowned industry analysts.

 
 

Trade Visitors

OSEA2008 attracted 14,068 quality trade visitors from 66 countries, further strengthening the position of OSEA as the leading event in Asia for the oil & gas industry. Of the visitors, 3,927 (28%) were from oversea.

Visiting Delegations

OSEA2008 also welcomed numerous group delegations from countries including China, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia and Palau, with specific and targeted buying objectives.

 
 

A group delegation of 22 buyers from CNPC and its subsidiaries visited OSEA2008 on 3 Dec.

Staff from Regency Steel Japan Limited led by their Chief Operating Officer, Mr Shigeyuki Hatano.

     
   

Malaysia Marine & Heavy Engineering (MMHE) sent 4 groups of their staff from its Procurement Department to source at OSEA2008.
